Grover Rural Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 2500 people living in an area
of 5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a private department
whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 6.
Our Department Serves the Town Of Grover and
surrounding areas located on the NC/SC Stateline. The Grover Volunteer Fire Department was formed as two departments in 1949.
They respectifully served as a City and Rural Station, operating out of one building. In 1979, the two departments merged
and Incorporated into one department. The Grover Rural Volunteer Fire Department now contracts its services to the city of
Grover, NC. Its serves a approx. 6 mile service district. The department also contracts a mutual aid response with Blacksburg,
SC.
